Privacy Policy
Channel Nexus is operated by Above The Stack ("Above The Stack", "we", "us"), which acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Account data — your email, display name, and profile details (segment, company, region, growth goals) you provide during onboarding.
- Content — the messages, files, and attachments you send to the AI.
- Usage data — message counts, upload counts, and timestamps used to enforce plan limits.
- Billing data — handled entirely by our payment provider Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd.). We store only the subscription status, plan, and a customer reference.
How we use it
We use your data to operate the service: to authenticate you, route your messages to the AI provider that powers your plan's model, store your conversation history, enforce plan limits, and bill you. We do not sell your data and we do not use your conversation content to train AI models.
Third parties
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, file storage, and authentication.
- Paddle — payments processor and merchant of record.
- AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) — receive your prompts and attachments at request time to generate responses. They process data under their own privacy terms and do not retain it for training.
Retention
Conversations and attachments are retained according to your plan: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Starter, 180 days on Pro, and indefinitely on Business. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of cancellation unless we're legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from your profile page. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR/UK-GDPR including portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email us at privacy@channelnexus.org to exercise any right.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to the account owner via row-level security. We never expose your conversation content to other users.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
Changes
If we materially change this policy we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
